A New Place to Call Home

Ryan and I aren't fully unpacked and organized, but we are definitely happy and settled! I have got boxes and stuff just throw everywhere that I need to clean up. It is so great though to only have one roommate to deal with and a great one at that! Right now we are at the apartments. I came to check on my room, talk to the manager about damages and just fix some stuff. Ryan is having a cow right now because he got his Lowe's card in and the name on it says Ryan M. Atocha!! hehe I know he is pissed but I am amused becuase for once I am not mad at all. So, now we are going to figure out renter's insurance with State Farm and then find me something to keep my clothes in. Next I will be off to work.

I will post some pics of the house as I take them. Right now we are just trying to recooperate from the move and organize it all. Jordan and Kevin(Jordan is a girl from school and now our neighbors) came over last night and they brought their dogs. We had so much fun watching them play and run around in the house. THere was actually room for it!! Ok, so we have to leave now. I will try to post more often but it is hard right now since our internet isnt yet fixed up at the house. Just a quick post...

Ryan and I are back at the apartments just for a second. We have to get the dogs becuase we are staying at our new place tonight. I have the most awesome friend here, Jordan. She used her fiance's truck tonight and helped us get a lot of stuff out of my apartment. SHe even got to witness the white trash first hand in my apartment. So, to the good stuff.....we have a house with a couch and NO ROOMMATES! hehe I am really excited and Ryan is estatic. He won't even let me go to my apartment by myself..that is how bad they have gotten. I hope that tomorrow Mom kills them with kindness and that Dad tears them a new asshole if they are even the slightest bit rude or disrespectful to Mom, Dad, Quala, or Randy. Talk to you guys soon!

So after a hectic morning of trying to figure out what the hell we're going to do, the owner of the townhomes called us and offered to move us into a newly remodeled large 3 bedroom for $50 a month LESS than a SMALL 3 bedroom (the large 3 bedroom is quite a bit more spacious than the small 3 bedroom). So I guess this plumbing problem was a good thing. We get the $1200 townhome for $950 a month, rather than paying $1000 a month for a smaller place, AND we get to sign leases today and start moving stuff this afternoon. So as of this afternoon our new mailing address is:

Just a little more about the roommates before we move out...

We were planning on getting up early anyway today and checking on our townhouse to see if we are going to move it tomorrow. However, I didn't think I was going to be kept up all night by people talking loudly in the living room and then a dog whining on the other side of the wall. I finally was fed up with it at four o'clock and of course I never say anything since I am the mature and responsible one. So anyway, I went to Ryan's to sleep, couldn't sleep there either because I was pissed of about my apartment. Then, we decided to go eat at Ihop at about five thirty since neither of us could sleep. We went back to my apartment so that I could change and brought the dogs over there and just left them. We figured they would cry some, but I really didn't care by this point. We have a great breakfast, relx, look at some houses in case our town hosue falls through and then come home to a nice note on my door about the dogs whining. It is just really ironic since I have asked Amy repeatedly to get Maddie to stop crying, but the one time I do it just to piss them off, I find a nasty little note on my door and it is so terrible that I did it. I just feel like they treat me like shit and I am so sick of it! So, whenever we get to talk today I don't care how mad or pissed off they get at me because I am moving out soon soon soon and then they can kiss my white ass!

Townhome update.... (by Ryan)

We were hoping to start moving stuff on thursday, or at least go in and clean everything down real good before we move anything in, but when I went to talk to the property manager today, she told me the couple living next door to us started complaining about plumbing problems. At first they thought it was a problem with the water main, which has a convenient access panel... under our LIVING ROOM!!! They were going to tear the carpet up in our living room to get to it, but then they figured it was just a leaking water pipe. They found the leaking pipe, which happens to be under the stove in our kitchen. So tomorrow they're having to tear up the new tile they put in to get to the pipe and fix it, then re-concrete the floor and put tile back down. So the soonest we can expect to get anything done is friday, which is fine. I'm just glad they found these problems before we moved in.

I hate being responsible sometimes!

Ryan and I had it all worked out this afternoon. We decided to startmoving stuff into the hosue on Thursday since I was supposed to be off according to the schedule. Well, nope not gonna happen now. My boss changed the schedule without telling anyone and now I don't ahve a day off all the way from last Friday(when I was sick) to this coming Saturday. I am sick and tired of work right now! All I want to do is pack and then move in. So in the morning I am waking up early just to pack some stuff and then take care of errands I had planned for Thursday. Once again, don't you hate being responsible sometime?

Can't Wait!

It is getting closer and closer! I am actually feeling great today and only four more days until Ryan and I move! I have so much packing and organizing to do now that I am better but that is so little compared to how excited I am! I am even thinking of what I can cook for breakfast for our parents when they are here since we will have a nice kitchen of our own to cook in! I am supposed to be off on Thursday so hopefully I will be packing and boxing up ALL day! Have a great Monday! I am!!!

Well, I only thought I was better yesturday. Today is one of those days again and I called in to work, but no luck there. We are still short handed so they really need me. Of course if I were to just say sorry I am not coming in, then I would feel terrible about leaving everyone else to do my job. It sucks being responsible!! To me the only way I am going to get over this is if I have a day to sleep, watch tv, and be around the toliet, but since I don't want to leave work shorthanded either, then I get to suffer. More of me crying about being sick and work. I hope you guys have a better Sunday than me and start the week better.

Getting better?

Maybe I am actually getting better today and over all this stomach crap. I ate some cnicken and rice soup(mostly just the broth) about an hour ago and it hasn't found it's way back up my esophagus yet! Yeah! Bad news is that everyone at home thought I had lost some weight, but you should see mw now. I have lost 4-5 pounds just in the past three days. I feel really weak from it too. Being a nutrition major and all, my main concern right now is that I am not getting enough vitamins and minerals and basic nutrients that my body needs. Obviously the weight lose is a sign. Anyway, yesturday I was supposed to be off and Ryan and I had planned for about a week to go couch shopping. Since I wasn't feeling good, we layed around all day and then about two o'clock decided to go look for a couch together and if I starte feeling bad to high tail it home. Right as we left the driveway, work called and wanted me to come in because Katie ( the really mean one that noone likes) quit! I told them I would be there and then called them back to change my mind because I was still throwing up some. I wasn't lying either because I threw up two more times last night. That would have been me at work, had I not called back and said no. Ryan and I found a couch too. It si burgandy, really long, with low arm rests so it is comfy to sleep on. It is really soft too. Then we got the matching chair and ottoman to go with it. I can't wait to show it off and our house off! Anyone who wants to visit is welcome! We will have plenty of room!! How can you say no to a free bed!?

I haven't had a chance to talk to my roomates about moving out either. Since I haev been sick, I have been at Ryan's. He is doing a fantastic job about taking care of me, anticipating all the things I need, and being really supportive. He says he likes taking care of me and having me helpless since I take care of him other times. I can't say that I mind it either! So, I have been staying over there so that he is at my beckon call. My roommates are getting really sloppy lately too. I kinda get the feeling that they are doing it jsut to piss me off, but it is hard to care when you are vomiting all the time. Hopefully I will be around here tomorrow night and be able to talk to them about it. Plus, they need the electricity in their name because I am not going to have them mess up my credit.

Houston Grand Prix

These are a couple of the open-wheel LeMans series cars and a Porsche 911 that raced on Friday night at the Grand Prix. I decided to post these after the post below with pictures of the production cars.

Here are a few pics of the American LeMans Series cars that we saw on Friday night at the Houston Grand Prix last weekend. I'll put some pictures up of the CHAMP cars that ran the feature race on saturday when I get them off my camera.

I have a few pictures of some Porsches and a Saleen S7 also, but there are too many pics to post on here. We tried to get some action shots of the cars racing, but our seats were on the front straight and they were doing about 150 when they passed us, so all those pictures came out blurry.

Sick

I slept well on Wednesday night, but when I woke up yesturday morning, I was sick. Apparently I got the stomach bug that everyone else was getting, that or foodbourne illness. So, I called in to work to tell them I couldn't leave the toliet so I wasn't going to be there, but they were all ready short handed. The supervisor told me on the phone that after I deliverd, I could go home and someone else would pick up my floors. So, I go to work after taking the maximum amount of imodium that I could, and felt terrible the whole time. Plus, I still had to pick up one of my floors before I could leave. I thought I was getting better but then last night I couldn't sleep because my stomach or intestine was grumbling and make noises. It ended with me going to the bathroom over and over and then fianlly throwing up because I felt so terrible. I woke Ryan up with my hacking! He was happy to take care of me though. I thought that was really sweet. I went to the doctor this morning and he thinks I am on the tail end of it and should be ok by tomorrow but gave me an excuse for work just incase I decide to stay home. He didn't give me any nausea medicine though. When I got home though, I looked at the pepto that I had been taking and it was expired! 4/20/06!!! That could have been another reason I was not feeling well. I am such a hypocrit becuase I got onto Ryan the other day for doing the same thing!
NOw I am feeling better. I am off today so Ryan and I were supposed to go talk to the electric company about our apartment electircity and then go look at couches. I had my dr appointment at 9:15 then came back and went to sleep though, so we might go out here in a little bit. I am super excited about having a house together! Ok, we are leaving now. I will post some pictures later on for you guys!

It's Official!

Well, it is pretty final now....Ryan and I are moving! We have both had enough with our roommates and their personalities and if we wait for our townhouse until August, then we won't get the small three bedroom that is cheaper. Basicly, what I am trying to say is that Ryan and I are moving on May 26!! Only like a week and a half from now! I am so excited and can't wait to have a place without "Club Bass" every night and my roommate's drama over guys every night. The house is so beautiful since they remodeled it. Our kitchen has cabinets about the same color as mom and dad's, the countertop is black marble and the tile on the floor is really awesome too! All the appliances are black and brand new. The color on the walls isn't exactly the "coffee" color we invisioned, but it is more the color of coffee ice cream. So, Ryan's parents are going to come up here Memorial weekend to bring all of Ryan's things and mom and dad might be coming then too. They are supposed to discuss it tonight. It's been one of those days

Ryan really surprised me last night when he met me at the hospital. I was rushing home to watch Grey's but when I saw him, I forgot all about what I was rushing for! We made it home to watch, but luckily I taped it so I can watch the beginning that I missed. It felt so great to have a day off and spend it with RYan! I have not had a day off since last Monday and it felt fantastic! I didn't get any sleep last night though so I was a little of a grump. My stomach was bothering me plus I was just really excited to have Ryan here. So, we ran a couple of errands and went grocery shopping then cooked supper together, not without some irritations from the roommates. One of RYan's roommates used all of his dishes while he was gone and left food in them. So we couldn't cook at his apartment. OH yeah plus his roommate Curtis is creepy and I really don't like having to hang around here when he is home. My roommates were just being trashy again. Nothing new there. The great news of the day was when mom called me though to tell me that I had overdrawn my bank account at home! I flipped out since I had like $700 in it. So, after having to change my password three times just to see me internet banking info, I just found three postings that didn't even help me. But, after looking at my check duplicates, I noticed that I paid for April rent, May rent, and May rent! It is a long story, but I was glad to undertsand what I had done. The really irritating part was that I had overdrawn by two dollars!!! It makes me really mad at myslef then since I took ten dollars out when I was at home just to have for cash!! Grrrrrr to me!! So, after I cried a bit and got really pissed, now I am cool and about to watch a movie. So, all's well that ends well!!! Now I just have to check with the office tomorrow and make sure they counted one of my May checks as a June check!!! Have a great night! I hope everyone can laugh at my mistake! :)

Welcome Home Present

So I came back to Lubbock yesterday, and Ann and I watched Grey's Anatomy together, and after that I was going to fix something for dinner, and every single one of my pots and pans, as well as about 5 or 6 of my dinner plates have food sitting on them and haven't been washed. I don't know who used them, but Matt has at least as many, if not more pots, pans and plates than I do, so I don't see why he needs to get mine dirty and then not wash them. I feel like I'm living with Ann's roommates now. Ann had complained to me about how Amy has been dirty and lazy since they had their little "talk" a few weeks ago, and I saw it first hand yesterday when I went over there. She had all kinds of snack foods spread out over the coffee table, and there was a pile of clothes laying in the living room that Ann says have been there for more than two weeks. I can't wait until we have our own place, it will be nice to not have to play somebody else's mother and clean up after them. Only two months away and we'll be moving in to our new place.

Surprise Ann!!

Ann and I haven't seen each other since Shelby's birthday party a couple weekends ago since I've been at my parents house until the Houston Grand Prix, and I led her on to believe that I would be driving back to Lubbock on either Tuesday or Wednesday, depending on how I feel and all, but I had planned all along to drive back today (Monday), so I'm writing this from my apartment, waiting for her to get off in about 30 minutes to surprise her. Along with Star, I brought Ebony back with me also (Raider's daughter). My sister has classes from about 8:00 am to 4:00 pm at Blinn, so she has had trouble apartment-training Ebony, so she's had her staying at my parents' house lately, and my parents solution to house training a dog is to leave her outside to run around all day long, so now she refuses to listen when we try to get her to go potty and come back inside, she just wants to roam around. So I told Allison that since Raider and Star are both well trained, and since we will have a townhouse plenty big enough by the end of the summer, I'd keep Ebony for her for a while, however long it takes to get her adapted to living in a smaller area. So I'm sure Ann will be posting all kinds of pictures of her and Raider together.

I don't really post on here much so I'll give a short update about me. The two roommates I've had for the last year are moving out. Aaron moved out this morning, he has an internship in Kansas City all summer (he's the messiest one, so I'm glad he's gone already), and Matt is moving out next week, he supposedly graduated last week, even though we haven't seen him go on campus or have a book in his possession for the last year. He's the alcoholic that brings strange people over, so I'm glad he'll be gone too. That just leaves me with the new guy Curtis. He's a bit strange. I think he spends more time in the gym than he does sleeping, he has freakishly large muscles, and on top of that, the thing that bothers me the most is that he works at the same place Ann does and he's always trying to flirt with her, even though he knows we've been together for almost two years. Ann also said he's tried to get with another girl at work who is engaged, and even though she's told him she's not interested, he keeps at it. If it goes too far, he might get a little laxative in his protein shake one day before he works out, we'll just have to see.

As far as school goes, both of the classes I want to take this summer are in danger of being cancelled because of low enrollment. They have this rule that if a certain number of students don't register, they cancel the class because it's not cost-effective to run a class all summer with just 10 students (or whatever the number is), so hopefully some people failed their classes this fall and will have to take them in the summer, otherwise that will throw my pre-requisites all out of whack and I'll have to change my whole schedule for this coming fall. Well I guess that's about it.

One more thing, Mom

I don't know how soon Mom will read this, but I did forget to mention something on the phone to her while ago. I know that if I don't write it now or type it now, then I will forget. A cavity that I didn't get filled when I was at home is giving me some pain! This one is the deepest one that I had, yet they didn't even fill it first at home! Anyway, looks like I will be spending some time tomorrow or Tuesday looking for a general dentist to fill it! Yeah!

Happy Mother's Day!

Mom was joking and asking if Raider got me something for Mother's Day, but nope he didn't. He is still really depressed about Ryan and Star being gone. It is really breaking my heart too. Only two more days now! He is either going to be home on Tuesday or Wednesday! Yeah!! Today otherwise was good. I do have to say work was crazy! Normally we have 6 girls to deliver to the 12 different floors, but tonight we only had 4!! I delivered to four myself and then the other girls did their part and shared some other floors. Overll though, a certain person that causes all the drama wasn't there to cause any, so it was a good night! Surprisingly! It is amazing how getting along and taking away that one negative person can do! I think everyone in the night crew gets along except for one girl who is the dramaqueen about everything and thinks she does all the work and everyone else is soooo lazy. Anyway, a good night! I got home about eight forty five though since it did take longer to clean up. Amy, Amber and I all watched Grey's together and were going crazy. Well AMy and I were, Amber doesn't unerstand why we get so hooked and worked up over tv. I can't believe Izzy though! What is she thinking? I thought that since Addison had just left the hospital that maybe she would have gotten shot too, but I guess not. I like Meredith with the vet. I like her with Derek too, so I am just kinda mixed about taht whole thing. Now I am putting a little dye in my hair in hopes to get rid of my roots and maybe get it close enough to my original color that it will jsut fade away to show the natural me. Otherwise, I might look into getting my hair stripped. I have a lot of stupid things like that in my mind now so I won't bore anyone else with it.

Ryan had lots of fun at the Houston Grand Prix this weekend. The person he picked to win won. He also thought of me and got me a shirt! Oh yeah and made time to take care of a special mother's day gift for me. I didn't buy anything on the internet in time to by sent to mom, so I asked Ryan to pick out some flowers and a card for her and to bring it by our house. While mom and dad were at Aunt Shirlye's today, he put white roses and a card on the table for mom and she was surprised when she got home. I was glad he was there to take care of it.

The "Handicapped" in Lubbock

I am about to go to bed because I have my last and final final tomorrow for my online government course. However, our apartments repainted the parking strips, cross walks and handicapped spots today. I thought that the handicapped spots looked funny, but I fianally realized why. In the middle there is the handicapped sign, then on top the upside down UT longhorn and then below the handicapped sign is ATM. (as the right sign and position though) I thought it was a pretty crummy thing for a business to do that even if we do live in Lubbock. That is just how stupid this place can be.

One more thing I forgot about...

Sue, you will be proud of me for this one! Last night on facebook I was searching for some new groups to join just for the fun of it. When I searched for Grey's Anatomy fan club ones, I found a bunch. The one I did join though is Don't Call me During Grey's Anatomy and "OMalley, stop looking at my va-jay-jay"!!! Isn't that hilarious!! Have a great night guys!

Nothing New Here

As the title says......everything is the same here. I went to work and it was one of those days and then when I got home, I rented Rumor Has It. I thought it looked pretty cute. I liked it, but not exactly what I expected. Overall, worth watching just because I like Jennifer Aniston. I just got out of the bathtub, where I thought I would just sit and relax, but it seems "Club Bass" has reopened. I feel like I should be paying a cover charge just to be in my own apartment! Honestly, I can't wait for summer school to start so that I have a reason to complain if they are like this every night!! I didn't sleep well last night so I am thinking about going to bed right after I finish this. My cramps hit me hard all night last night, plus the girl above us must have gotten a new puppy and left it in the bathroom all night and morning while she was out. I listened to the dog bark, whine and sing all night. Anyway, just the typical college crap around here!

STUDY: ALLIGATORS DANGEROUS NO MATTER HOW DRUNK YOU ARE

BATON ROUGE, LA - In a breakthrough study that contradicts decades of understanding about the nature of alligator-drunkard relations, LSU researchers have concluded that people's drunkenness does not impair the ancient reptiles' ability to inflict enormous physical harm.

"Our data strongly indicates that human intoxication does not transform an alligator into a docile creature that enjoys wrestling," said professor Ryder McCrory of LSU.

"Despite its slow-witted demeanor and tendency to bask motionlessly in the hot sun, it's a mistake to believe that an alligator will passively tolerate a half nelson, no matter how much Southern Comfort is fueling it."

In field experiments, members of the control group performed no better - and often far worse - than their sober counterparts in defending themselves against a 300 pound, seven-foot bull alligator. Even when armed with an empty tequila bottle.

"At best, the bottles bounced harmlessly off the alligator's snout," said LSU research assistant Tracy Sawyer.

In addition, the alligators far outperformed their inebriated human counterparts in the following areas: lunging, biting, crushing, dismembering, and swallowing.

Last night after work, I went to Jordan's house again to eat supper with her and her fiance, Kevin. Kevin made some awesome hamburgers and then I bought some vanilla ice cream for dessert. Then this morning Jordan and I went to Hobby Lobby to snoop and then to Target. I was palnning on getting something specific, but instead I got some fantastic shoes! I love them so much! They are brown crocodile sling backs with a cork heel. I got some new jeans too since my favorite pair look like you know what. Now I am just passing some time before I get ready for work. Oh joy! No seriously, work hasn't been terrible lately. Last night I delivered to four floors instead of just my two, but I was still able to keep a positive and happy attitude about it all. After all, there are much worse things going around right now. For instance, Brandi's, the supervisor last night, five month old niece is on a feeding pump. She wasn't eating and when they took pictures of her throat to see why, they found a growth. Brandi said the doctors have never seen any thing like it, so they are all having a conference in Fort Worth sometime next week with doctors from Houston, Fort Worth, and Lubbock to make a plan and decide what to do and how to do it. Say a prayer for them. So, if I compare work to that...it is a piece of cake!

A couple of my grades were posted today too. I made an B in Anatomy and Physiology and then a B in Nutrition in the Lifecycle. Those are the grades that I was expecting so that is great! Now I am just waiting on my Sanitation grade. I could have an A in there if I did really great on my final. So, we will have to see! Check back with me again to see what I made! ;)

Oh I forgot to mention... the roommate story. Apparently they almost set our apartment on fire by using the stove as a candle warmer. They put the candle on the back burner, turned it on high and then left the room! I guess you can pretty much tell the rest. They hid it from me for about one or two months now and they weren't going to tell me at all. The only reason I found out was because we were all being buddy buddy and cooking supper. Needless to say, I am going to find out about renter's insurance now more than ever since I haven't already! (This is just the really short version of what happened)

No more Finals!

I am finally finished with finals for this semester. I don't know why but this past week has gone by sooo slow and it has been torture for me! I will recap just a bit...Monday: drive, project, sleep. Tuesday: study, work, sleep,

You can tell why I am just pretty crashed with school. That was the whole basis to my post before this when I didn't want to do anything!! After my final today I had fun though-grocery shopping. Then I took Raider to get a new toy. I bought him a Hedge Hodge that kinda purrs or growls instead of squeeking. He really loves it! I took him to the park then to run a little, but I should have known that all he wants to do is mark his territory. Either way, it wore him out and got him out of my bedroom for a change.
Since school is over now, I hope to work on my scrapbook more and then some paintings too for our house. Also, I am trying to clean out things so that when we do move, it will be easier. Another thought has come to mind that I might try to find another part time job. It could be nice to have extra money over the summer. I really don't want to pick up more hours at the hospital now because then I would work the morning shift. The morning crew is not nice at all and they take advantage of you. Plus, it is just too long of a shift for me-6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. I did it once and I hated it. Anyway, right now it is jsut a thought in the back of my mind so I will see what happens. WOW!! I am going to bed now! I don't have to study!! I can sleep in too to catch up on all the rest I have lost! Night.

I just don't want to do anything

Does anyone ever have that problem? You have so much that you need to do, but all you want to do is relax. That is my problem right now. I have a final at one thirty-my last one-and I can't motivate my self to study. I tried all night last night and this morning and I am just sick of finals and studying right now. So instead I am cutting coupons and playing on the computer. When I finish my final I plan on going to Wal Mart to pick up a couple of things, running home to put on some clothes to wash, picking up Raider and then I am taking him to Petsmart and possibly the park. He deserves a break from my apartment. I think he really misses Ryan and Star. I have a new story to tell about my roommates, but I am going to save it for later. It is really long and irritating! hehe Hope you guys have a great Monday. I will probably post more later on today.

"Club Bass"

I know I have already posted today, but this seems like a good way to me to defuse some irritation with the girls down stairs. Work was nice today, although when I was up on the third floor every room had the tv on the severe weather. I was just hearing clips of the weather as a walked in and out of the rooms but I did hear "golf ball and soft ball size hail" and "wow we got a tornado!! We have a big tornado!" Since that is all I could hear, I picked up the trays really fast and went down to the basement(where I work). The tornado was in Brownfield which is about ten or fifteen miles away. Lubbock was under a tornado watch for a while, but the cell passed over us without any commotion. After work, I came home, sat down at the coffee table and studied for about an hour and a half. Then I was startled by a vibration I was feeling on the floor. It seems like the girls below us don't have any finals tomorrow like the rest of us. So, they are celebrating by bring "club bass" to their apartment. They have their bass soooo loud! I decided to move into my room and hoepfully get away from the sound, but no such luck! It is everyehwere in our apartment, vibrating everything and bothering the you know what out of me. SO, I am wasting time until either they quit or until eleven oclock when Amy and I call the cops because we have warned them before about their bassing and they were b-i-t-c-h-e-s when we talked to them nicely. Anyhow, I guess that is about how I am feeling right now. Seems like I could be making some coffeee really soon and staying up really late or all night! I hope you guys had a great Friday! My Saturday will be great after my final is over in the morning. I have my last final on Monday which is also going to be pretty hard. Looks like you guys are stuck listening to me complain a little more. :) Sorry.

I hate finals! I was awaken this morning from the sound of Raider throwing up at eight thirty, so I just decided to stay awake and study for my anatomy final. I studied and made notecards from eight thirty until twelve thirty, but I still have so much more to learn! Right now I paused so that I could shower, eat and then go to work. I guess I won't be doing anything else tonight except for studying studying studying. I might even go to the library if my roommates are being even the slightest loud!

Well, I can't wait until finals are over! I am making myself hold off on cleaning anything in my room until I am done with finals. After finals are over my plan is clean, sleep, clean, work, clean sleep..etc until the week is over and Ryan will be closer to coming home. Today I took my lifecycle final. You know when you read notes over and over and think you understand it all, but come to find out you didn't absorb anything you read over and over? That is what happened to me. Basicly I feel like i did terrible on the test because of it, plus I some of her questions were worded funny and tricky. I wish that I could see the test and which ones I missed once they were graded beacuse I am sure there would be a lot that people would protest about. After the test, I jetted off to work which was fine today. I am still not letting things stress me out at work! YEAH!! Oh and Jordan invited me to eat supper with her and her fiance. So, Raider and I had supper with Jordan and Kevin. I put Raider in their back patio, hoping that he would play with their roommate's dog, but Raider was being picky! He was just sitting there and every time Blotter tried to play, Raider would snap! That is not like him at all. Anyway, got some coffee then and came home to study more for my anatomy final on Saturday. As long as I study tomorrow and tomorrow night, I think I could make a good grade on that final. Now it is time for beauty sleep. Raider is already cuddled up in bed waiting for me. :) Night

Ticks, Ticks and more Ticks

So as you can tell from the title, we are having problems with ticks. Raider really hasn't had a whole lot, but last night we picked FOUR off of Maddie. I noticed one on her cheek that was pretty big, but turned out there was another one underneath that one. Then, when we were picking out those two, there was a tiny one there too!! So, looking over the rest of her body, we found the fourth one on her side. Of course, now I feel little things crawling all over me just because I am being paranoid!! Plus, another girl that lives here with a dog was just talking to me about the ticks. She said that she smushed like 3 this afternoon because she could just see them crawling on the ground!! YUCK! I am going to make a point to go by the office I think tomorrow and see if they can spray or something.
Other than that, just the typical day. I studied this morning, showered, ate and went to work. No stress today at work because I was not letting things get to me. :) I did have a patient tell me di di meow. Ryan always tells me it, it means hurry up pretty much. The guy basicly didn't want me in his room so he was yelling at me to get out and said, "I don't want any visitors. Leave. didid meow!!" I should have been upset that he yelled, but I was laughing so hard! It made my day since I miss Ryan so much. Now, I am at home trying to study for my final tomorrow. I seem to have a problem with procrastination though! So, back to reading!

All I had to say was "Can I paint your toenails?" Then she was stripping off her shoes, socks and plopped on the floor with her foot out!! Dee said she had never had her toenails painted before, but I don't believe her!

Raider had way too much fun too! I don't think he has run free for that long outside ever! He was crashed as soon as everyone left, plus went to bed early and slept all the way home on Monday!!

Today has been one of those awesome days! I had to go to class, but then I slept, went grocery shopping a little, then studied, and cooked supper. I am still feeling a little crappy with my cold and all just not as bad as yesturday. Plus I have had time today to rest and recooperate which is exactly what I needed. I assumed that they would have called me into work because Lauren got pink eye and couldn't go and then someone else wasn't going to be there. They must have fixed it before I got home though!! Raider is acting a little funny lately. I really didn't see or hear him eating while we were at home and I figured he would start when we got back to Lubbock. Nope. I was trying to feed him while ago and act like it was a treat and he didn't eat the food. He did eat a little bit of Amy's dog food. If he keeps this up then I might be calling the vet somewhere in Lubbock and taking him in. I figured it was homesick or that he missed Ryan and Star, so we will see.
About the weekend......how much fun can one girl have?! I was able to spend time with my family, boyfriend, and have a great time. Ryan had fun too. All he could tell me was how cute Shelby was. He loved playing with her just like I did. I felt really bad when I rushed off Monday morning only to find out that Dad woke up just after I left and didn't get to tell me bye. It made me cry almost! I sent him a text message, so Mom, ask him if he got it. I am going to hit the books more right now. Have a great evening and wonderful hump day tomorrow! ;)

Finally...a post!

So, it has been a long time since I have time even just to sit and type on here. I had two tests, a project, packing, working, etc, etc. all last week. I am sure everywhere knows about all that stuff already. Anyway, I was so glad that I got to drive home for the party Sunday. I feel really behind in some of my studying now, but sometime you just have to suck it up!! That is what I have been working on since I got home. During my long drive back to Lubbock today, I was thinking about how I stress over things. Ryan keeps on telling me just to roll it off of my shoulders but sometimes that is just too hard to do. So, today I have been trying hard to do it. So far, I feel good even though there were a couple of things that got me a little upset when i got home. Bascily it is a start to my realization that Yes, I am just like Robert Heimann and am a hot head and a major stressor. Seeing Dad get pissed last night about something really tiny really makes me want to change my behavior too!
The drive wasn't as bad as I though. I mean, it was long and back aching, but I pushed through it, made it home by five and I was able to get my project done. Ryan helped with that though. :) Raider slept in the backseat the whole way like an angel.
I will post more later. I need to get some sleep so that I can get over this cold I got along the way.
